6/29/03: Highway 78 cleanup gets underway

The 78 CID Highway clean-up campaign got underway on Sunday morning, June 29th at 7am. A total of 8 dump truck loads of dirt & debris was removed from the curb shoulder by a 13-man crew. Each load weighed approximately 6 tons. The entire team consisted of a lead vehicle, 2 skid loaders, 2 trucks, a shovel crew, a street sweeper, a street blower crew and a Gwinnett County police car used for trailing safety. The first area cleaned extends from Highway 124 to Oakland Park Blvd. The remaining corridor cleanup is planned for Saturday, July 12th from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m.
