The City of Snellville received five sealed bids on August 14, 2003 for construction of the Oak Road realignment project. All bids were opened at 2:00 pm on August 14 and the apparent low bidder has been identified. The City Engineer is currently reviewing each bid in detail and will forward a recommendation to the Mayor and Council for award on August 25.

The project will realign the existing Oak Road with Henry Clower Boulevard at the signalized intersection of Hwy. 78 at the site of Snellville's new City Center. Additionally, four existing curb cuts onto Hwy. 78 will be removed -- improving both traffic flow and safety.
