BOC passes Hwy 78 Overlay District

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the Hwy 78 Overlay District on Tuesday, January 27, 2004. The overlay enhances architectural, lighting, landscaping, and parking requirements for new development and redevelopment along the Hwy. 78 corridor. The Hwy 78 CID Board supported passage of the overlay district.

The Hwy 78 Overlay District ordinance and standards are very similar to those previously adopted by the Board of Commissioners for the Mall of Georgia and Civic Center areas. The ordinance is available online at www.gwinnettcounty.com.
