Dwight Harrison is new 78 CID Chairman

SNELLVILLE: Continuing the Hwy 78 CID Board’s tradition of rotating members as chair, Dwight Harrison assumed the role of Chairman of the Community Improvement District at the April 27, 2005 Board Meeting. Dwight will serve until April 2006, at which time the current Vice Chair, Forrest Adair, will take on the Chairman’s duties.

Harrison said, “We are grateful to Kenny King for his dedication and service to our Board as Chairman this past year. As a result of his leadership, the Hwy 78 CID achieved a great number of successes during Kenny’s term as Chair and he will continue to be a valued voice on our Board.”

Dwight Harrison was an early proponent of formation of the Community Improvement District. He experienced first hand the decline that overtook Memorial Drive and moved his auto dealership, Dwight Harrison Volkswagen, to Hwy 78 as a result.

Kenny King is one of the founding members of the Hwy 78 CID. He is a property owner and home builder and his firm, Monarch Land Development, has a long history in Gwinnett County and within the 78 CID area.
