WASHINGTON -- U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., praised passage of an important highway funding bill that the Senate approved today.  The bill includes important funds for highway construction and repairs nationwide – especially for a number of projects in North Georgia and the Metro Atlanta region. 

“This important highway bill will help make much needed improvements for Georgia’s highways,” said Chambliss.  “This bill provides important funds to improve our highways in many communities all across North Georgia and the entire Metro Atlanta region.”

Chambliss said the bill includes key funds for many Georgia communities, including many in North Georgia, and many throughout the entire Metro-Atlanta region. The bill includes the following funds:
