Georgia DOT approves another intersection improvement
Evermore CID will fund additional mast arms and street signs

The Evermore CID initially secured inclusion in the median project enhancements at 15 signalized intersections on U.S. 78. The Georgia DOT (GDOT) will replace the existing poles, span wire, and signals at each intersection along U.S. 78 with decorative, fluted black posts; horizontal mast arms
(at 13 of the 15 intersections); upgraded signals; and illuminated street signs.

Once the construction began, the CID became aware that GDOT also planned work at the intersection of Rockbridge Road and Sharp Trail. The Evermore CID requested that the additional intersection receive the same enhanced signal supports and signage as those on U.S. 78. After evaluating the request, GDOT has agreed to install the upgraded materials at the additional intersection and the Evermore CID will fund the incremental cost.

Illuminated street signs at intersections will be back-lit to improve visibility during evening hours
and include the Evermore leaf logo.

In several other locations along the U.S. 78 corridor, the Evermore CID has funded decorative street furniture including benches and trash receptacles.

Many more details to come.
