Evermore Board
selects Kimley-Horn for Walton Court intersection improvement
ARC LCI funded
project identified during 2005 corridor study
SNELLVILLE: The
Evermore Community Improvement District Board unanimously selected
the professional civil engineering consulting firm of Kimley-Horn
and Associates to design the realignment of the old U.S. 78 and
Walton Court intersection with U.S. 78.
The project is funded
through the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative
(LCI) program and was identified during a corridor study completed
in 2005. ARC has prospectively awarded the Evermore CID up to
$433,600 toward the design and construction of the safety
improvement.
Fourteen firms
attended a pre-bid conference and nine submitted formal technical
and fee proposals to the Evermore CID. “Kimley-Horn did an
outstanding job preparing their submittal that addressed the issues,
process, and expectations of the Evermore CID. We are pleased to be
working with such a capable firm,” said Larry Kaiser, P.E.,
Evermore Project Manager.
